Condition
Stroke & Paralysis
Weakness on one side of the body, balance problems and difficulty with daily tasks after a stroke.

After a stroke or an episode of paralysis, movement on one side of the body may be weak, slow or poorly controlled. Everyday actions — rolling in bed, sitting up, standing, walking, using the hand — need to be relearned, and repeat practice is what builds improvement.
Rehabilitation often continues for months, with gains that are easier to see early on. Consistency matters as much as the type of exercise.
How physiotherapy can help
The programme is built on function: getting up from a chair, transferring safely, walking with or without support, and using the affected arm and hand in daily life. Sessions may include assisted movement, balance practice, strength work and caregiver training.
The clinic will work alongside your treating doctor or neurologist and will tell you clearly what progress is realistic to expect and how long it usually takes.
