Condition
Paediatric Movement & Development
Children who are late to walk, trip often, walk on their toes or struggle with coordination.

Children develop movement skills at their own pace, but some patterns are worth checking: not walking by the expected age, frequent tripping, toe walking, one side of the body being used much less, or difficulty keeping up with other children in play.
Assessment looks at muscle tone, movement patterns, balance, coordination and how the child uses their body during play and daily routines.
How physiotherapy can help
Sessions are play-based. Exercises are built into activities the child enjoys, and parents are shown how to repeat them at home in short, frequent bursts.
Where a medical cause needs to be ruled out, the clinic will advise you to consult a paediatrician or child specialist.
