Condition
Sports Injuries
Sprains, strains, tendon problems and joint injuries that interrupt training and activity.

Sports injuries range from an ankle that rolls during a run, through knee ligament sprains and hamstring strains, to tendon problems that build up over months of loading. The early phase is about protecting the area and calming pain; later phases need strength, control and sport-specific loading.
Physiotherapy assessment looks at how the injury happened, what movement is painful, how strong and stable the area is, and the demands of your sport or training routine.
How physiotherapy can help
Rehabilitation progresses in stages: pain-free range of movement, then strength, then power and control, and finally a return to sport with a plan for loading up gradually. Taping, manual therapy and electrotherapy may be used alongside, depending on the injury.
Return-to-activity decisions are made on function rather than on time since the injury alone.
